gissue-rolodex
yet another note taking practice
Hey there! You stumbled on something that can be treacherous, please proceed with caution.
"People who write extensively about note-writing rarely have a serious context of use." — Andy Matuschak, About these notes
Having said that, I may have stumbled on something that can help you develop a practice that feels and remains alive.
But a practice for what? What will be our "serious context of use"?
To keep a conversation going: to make lively intellectual questions disproportionately present in daily life — like they can be on a university campus, where you're surrounded by people with overlapping interests, plenty of time, and chance encounters.
That's admittedly not very serious, but also certainly worth a shot at.

Wait, what's a gissue? What's a rolodex?
gissue = "GitHub issue" (a.k.a. a ticket). A backlog item that lives in GitHub.
rolodex = a rotating card file you flip through.
Borrowed from Daniel Reeves' post on "gissues" and backlog freshening: Backlog Freshening
